Igor Magdaleni\u0107<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2004 Igor Magdaleni\u0107 enrolled in the high school of Vara\u017edin School of Music, where in 2008 he graduated in the class of prof. Ivan Luk\u0161i\u0107. He continued his education at the Music academy in Sarajevo in the class of professor Joakim Anterot and in 2012 he is finished his bachelor’s studies, majoring in percussion in the class of professor Davor Maraus.
\nDuring his studies at the music academy, he went on a student exchange trip to Indonesia (2013-2014) under the “Darmasisswa” program with the aim of getting to know traditions and cultural exchange. In the time spent at the “Bandung Art Institute”, his main focus was the study of traditional music and instruments from the Gamelan orchestra. 2015 he finished his Master’s degree in percussion at the Academy of Music in Sarajevo under the mentorship of professor Davor Maraus. In 2018 he attended a specialization in traditional instruments and percussion music in Indonesia at the Indonesian Institute of Arts and Culture.
\nDuring his education from 2010 to 2012 he was a partner in the preparation of art projects (Museum of Contemporary Art “Ars Aevi”, Sarajevo). He was a part of the organizational team of the International Chamber Music Festival “Sarajevo Chamber Music Festival” from 2012 to 2015 and an expert associate of the project “Sarajevo Sonic Studio” on the plan of preparation and artistic realization of the contemporary music program produced by the Music Academy in Sarajevo, the French Institute in BiH and the Goethe-Institut. From 2015 to 2018 in Zagreb, he led music workshops of the Gamelan orchestra with the aim of promoting and popularizing Indonesian instruments and music on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
\nThrough his artistic work, some of the performances stand out – Sonemus Fest: Festival of contemporary music “Bata Rubuh” for gamelan trio, John Cage: “Happy New Ears”, all-night concert for ensemble: “Living room music” and “Second construction in metal” and Sarajevo Sonic Studio: Contemporary Music Festival – Vinko Globokar: “Par une foret de symbolesza sextet ad libitum”.
\nHe has been teaching since 2015 as a percussion teacher at the Vara\u017edin School of Music. His commitment to working with students is also evident through numerous competitions where his students achieve excellent results.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
