Students of the Varaždin School of Music, the Maribor Conservatory for Music and Ballet, members of the Chorus angelicus Choir, and soloists Ivana Lazar, Armando Puklavec and Danilo Kostevšek repeated the brilliant performance in front of the Maribor audience on Monday, 16th of September 2019 at the Slovenian National Theatre in Maribor.
In the theater a ticket extra was sought for a concert conducted by a Maribor Conservatory professor Slavko Magdić, who, like his colleague Dada Ruža in Varaždin, has been intensively preparing these recent months for the performance. The international project brought together students from these two Music Schools and connected Maribor and Varaždin. For us at the Music School and at the Varaždin Concert Office, who was the organizer of the concert, this is a breeze in the back for new projects, said Davor Matačić, principal of the Varaždin School of Music. We can proudly say that 7000 people heard Carmina Burana, performed by these dedicated young musicians.
